David Ogle creates elaborate sculptures in the most unusual places. Using things like glowing orbs, luminous smoke, and lasers, Ogle makes your typical landscape look just a bit alien.

His ongoing project Looming combines photography and installation art in a fascinating way. Ogle creates ephemeral sculptures using LEDS, smoke bombs, acrylic spheres and just about anything else he can carry with him. Then he photographs it. The images document the moment he strikes a match or turns on an LED, creating a sculpture in the landscape.

Check out more photos and read about Ogle’s project.
